1983 seca turbo starter

starter does not engage when it does cranks two times and then just spins free help. purchase another used starter from ebay put it on does same thing.

Walt, the starter bendix or clutch needs attention.

would it be hard to check the clutch i have used 2 starters and they are both doing the same thing. one more note clutch worked fine thur the gears. is in neutral when i try and start it. also my starter bendix does engade for 2 spins then starter just spins free.

Sounds like the Starter clutch is bad...

is the Starter clutch hard to replace or fix what part would you order thanks.
