took my 1978 cb750k out of shed, clean it off and etc. been almost 20 years since last time running, I changed oil, got fresh gas, and new battery. Almost happy, till I tried to start it. No lights nothing!
Anyone know what I can do before taking it to the shop?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Kill switched to on and yes key also to on. However before all this I couldnt turn ignition to on applied wd inside key hole, was this a mistake/or shorted the inside?
No, WD-40 in the keyhole won't hurt. Try this, turn the kill switch to off, turn the key switch on, try the brakes one at a time, and see if the brake light works.

then consider....sitting in a shed for twenty years.....yeah, it just might require a tad bit more then a new battery, and fresh gas and oil, even if its an old reliable Honda. I be stripping her down and checking every piece of her.
I checked wires of ignition/key, and there is current coming from the black and red wires. I also took apart the ignition/key component, clean off contacts, then put it back together. still no light.
found some wires corroded with with white cake powder on male connection, this is by the fuse box.
I wonder if I can post pictures of my findings?
