2007 Yamaha 650 vstar custom
While riding down the road my bike starts to sputter and I cannot throttle it. Sounds like it is running on one cylinder. It doesn't happen all the time and normally doesn't last that long when riding. I have switched to a higher octane of fuel. The bike does not sit long without riding. Help...

Hello JoAnne and welcome to the forum. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem. I'd try running some Seafoam through the carbs before I would clean them. Good luck.
P.S. Can you show us a picture of your bike?

People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Can you open the gas cap when its sputtering. It could
be air locked...
Please pull over first and check.
