New rider in Alaska, just finished my MSF course (on a Suzuki GZ250) and am ready to get my own bike and hit the road before our season ends.

You can ride year 'round in Anchorage. If you have a kick-starter and put screws in the tires

Dad just wore a standard snow-machining suit. This was in the late '70's.
