2014 Harley-Davidson FXDF Fat Bob

NEW FOR 2014

Fat tires, blacked out finishes, throaty slash cut mufflers, low fat handlebar, forward controls and a surly attitude. Now you're riding dirty...

From the double-barreled stare of its twin headlamps to the knobby tread of its burly tires, the Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® makes a statement that is not subtle. But this motorcycle offers more than attitude. The rigid steel backbone of its Dyna® frame, a pair of thick 49 mm fork legs and chassis geometry that's tuned to turn make the Fat Bob a cruiser willing to hunt for corners and a blast to ride. Dual front disc brakes haul the Fat Bob down in a hurry.

New for 2014. Well, not 100% "new" but I'd call it "revamped" for 2014. Quite a few changes to it vs the 2008-2013 version. Last year it received the new 103 cubic inch engine as well.

LoL, oh good, it's not just me...

I love a dual headlamp and a skinny little front fender, but where's the skinny front tire to go with it? Having a skinny fender with a fat balloon like that just doesn't flow well visually.

Then we've got the fender bracket that overhangs the edge of the fender, which just screams 'parts bin', and that huge swath of plastic cover streetside -- this looks like nothing so much as that godawful Ridley that rode the lightning a few months ago. I just don't see the aggressive bike touted in the copy -- this looks like a pit bike. Yeah, I said it...

I DO like the drag bars and the double headlight though, I'll give it that. Not a Fail...

But absoluely Uncool.

Fail. Someone ran amok in the Styling Dept and then somehow this bike got through the Wait A Minute Dept without being noticed. Fugly.

I don't like the paint job. The seat looks very restrictive and uncomfortable.

The pipes side looks nice, but the other side looks lousy.

Based on looks, Fail.

Snakey, I know I haven't, I'll wager Gummi has at least once or twice and Blues hits a lot of MC shows, I'll be she's at least sat on one...

I'm assuming you have? Please, tell us what we're missing.
