I have been trying to get 4 replacement bolt for my Suzuki c50t. I have been running all over town and getting different responses. One says that motorcycle use special bolt sizes so that replacement need to be gotten from the manufacturer. Others say that bolts are standard metric sizes; they just don't have the black ones that are original to the bike. The ones I am looking for are the ones that screw into the body that hold various pieces on--for example, the ones that hold the foot boards near the shifter and the brake. The ones I have removed seem to be 10 x 25 x 1 1/2, which I believe is a standard metric size.
If they are standard sizes, should I order the black ones, or will painting standard steel bolts black work?
Do Japanese bikes take standard metric bolts or special siz?

I think your looking for anodized screws.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
