How much do you ride in a year?

Sorry, here is the km to miles conversions:

1000km is 621.4
1500km is 932.1m
10 000km is 6 214m
12 500km is 7 767.5m
15 000km is 9 321m
20 000km is 12 428m
25 000km is 15 535m
30 000km is 18 642m
40 000km is 24 856m

Umm... err... let me see now. one kilometer is equal to ummm... ahh...

Hey Chells how about a kilometer/mileage converter for us Brits. Kilometers are a bit hard, you know. :(

Well, roughly 25,000 km if my maths is correct. Commuting, touring, day trips, ride outs, holidays, everyday travel and just mucking around. 12 months a year. No car, you see.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Richard. :oops: Errm, let's see... naught plus naught is naught, carry the three... TA DAH! About 8,500km last year, purely for the fun of it on my primary bike- no commuting- maybe another 1,500 on the other. So, around 10,000 total - not nearly enough! :D

I only find time to ride on Sundays. Of course the last Subday I rode was 16 1/2 hours long........ Stopped for pop and sandwich, having too much fun to quit. I stopped at a small town, swung a leg off my bike, looked around standing still and the boredom set in like a fog. Time to get movin. I knew it would be the last trip of the season so I let er rip.

I got 6000 on last year. I started the season off with a 1500 mile trip. I hope to get at least that much in this year.

I ride about 10,000 miles most years. I'd do a lot better but #$$%^ WORK*^^$$^ Keeps getting in my way. O well gotta eat I recon. Couldn't buy this $2.00 a gallon gas for the bike without it either. Cheers, Max

If none of us are putting on less than 10,000 km per year why are there so many bikes in the trader over 10 yrs old with 5000 km on the odometer?

No one disconnects the odometer do they?

That's cause we're the real bikers! :wink:

I've never ridden a bike with a disconnected odo, but I've seen some bikes that were definitely suspect! :blink:

Sometimes people buy them and get tired or scared of it. Why the bike sits around for 10+ years though before selling it is a mystery to me!

I'm saying about 9-12 thousand mile a year.

I have the fortune to have to ride 25 miles one way to work, (anytime it's above 35 degrees in the morning) plus week-end rides with the wife, divided by 3 bikes, and of course I'll throw in a few extra miles for the four wheeler (Bayou 250).... so uh, yeah somewhere around just barely enough!
