Hi everyone,
One of my advertisers (Monster) is trying out a "full screen ad" for a week. I'm sure you have seen this ad type before, it's a full screen ad with the link "skip ad to continue to next screen click here or wait 15 seconds".
Do you mind the ad? Is it really bad/offensive? Do you prefer popups to this type of ad? Any feedback is helpful.
The revenue the ad produces will go directly to reducing popups on the site.
Thanks gang!
Mike

I got rid of it, it payed extremely high, but the inconvenience to visitors isn't worth it to me.NorthernPete wrote:Doesnt bother me any. If it bugs anyone, one click makes it go away.

Hey Mike, the ad is fine I guess - I still hate popups setting tracking codes on the computers. Especially that I'm not using my own comp (mom's school laptop).
A spin off suggestion there about the vendor page ad, do you think there is enough interest from vendors to run a space rental ($5-10 mth to advertise) on a specific forum - like vendors, group buys, specials, etc? How about direct link ads (not popups) in a margin somewhere?
Just thoughts
