That would be me. But I don't bother to try and identify the brand, I just wave as soon as I see two wheels and an engine. And, yes, that includes scooters and mopeds.

The statistics before the bike is used is not the problem with it. The problems arise after the bike starts to accummulate miles on it. You need to compare used harlys to used japs in same class and same number of years on it. I just thought this would be the right thing to do.

Compare what... resale value? Not many bikes out there can hold their value like Harley can. Compare reliability and maintenance costs? I just rolled 50,000km yesterday on a two year old FLHT and have yet to experience ANY problems. Contrast that with my two Hinckley Triumphs that had several warranty issues at half that mileage. Even my Kawasaki Drifter had some troubles at the 40,000km mark, but so far this Harley is the most dependable bike I've ever owned.

The Victory motorcycles are made in Minnesota, but Polaris Industries operates in Canada as a division of Textron (who also makes EZGO golf carts). Canadian parent company, therefore Canadian product.

Nice try, but you need to check your corporate facts a little better. Textron is an American corporation - I know because I worked for them - and Polaris is still an American owned company that builds bikes in the US, therefore the Victory is an AMERICAN bike.
