Finished recharging my battery, popped it in, fired up the Trophy....figured just do a quick run to the gas station to put in some fresh fuel and a quick burn around the block to run it through. So put on my jacket, new helmet and gloves, just going to the gas station and around the block right, not going to need my boots or pant, sneakers and jeans will do.......An hour and half late and close to 100 kilometres.....I am back home....first ride of the year done. On Tuesday I will ride it to work, and then drop it off at the local Triumph Stealership to get it serviced and prepped for the season.....might even ride to work tomorrow.
Always ask why.

Weather is screwed up here as well, but in a good way. Cherry Blossoms are already in full bloom, about 2 to 4 months early......however, I figure the other shoe is about to drop. What that shoe brings either an extended drought or unending rain remains to be seen.
Always ask why.

I turned on my computer for the first time in 4 days.

The daffodils are blooming in my garden. They are about a month early.

I bought some new shoes....sturdy low rise trail shoes.....I used to be an avid hiker but due to a lot of circumstances got away from it.

I want to start doing some light hiking...I also got a new pack....a smaller one than I used to use. I can't carry the heavy weights I used to take on a day hike....

Maybe Sunday I'll go...if the rain stops...

It's a sad fact girl, but we are getting older and more beat up over time. Things we would of done in a heartbeat without even thinking about it yesterday, now demands some serious consideration. I place waking up and crawling out of my warm bed on a weekend in that category.

Two weeks ago, put the Trophy into the shop to get serviced and ready for the season and was looking forward to picking her up today and going for a good long ride. Weather here has been abnormally spectacular, almost spring like for most of the winter and the past few weeks it has been mainly very warm, sunny and dry, so much so that even the Cherry Blossoms bloomed in the middle of February, about eight to ten weeks early. So of course today it is p issing down cats and dogs and the forecast for the next week or so is more of the same. Bugger.
Always ask why.
