cold weather riding gloves

What type of gloves do you guys/gals wear for cold weather riding?

We have a pair of fur-lined leather gloves that perform pretty well in cold weather riding, if you intend to ride regularly in truly cold weather though heated gloves are the way to go.

Everything else we have besides the fur lined gloves are absoluely useless in cold weather, the chill comes through them in just a couple minutes.

I'm gonna be riding as long as I can take it. So i'm thinking heated may be the way to go.

If that's the way you want to go, you can get fully integrated heated riding wear that all plugs into each other. You'll probably want to install an 12V outlet off your bike to power the system, and bonus you can run a GPS or charge your phone off it during the warm months.

Thats a good idea. I'm going to do that, this way I know I can plug the phone in.

Socks, pants, vest, jacket, gloves, even some helmets have heated visors... Look and don't be afraid to get quality goods, it will pay it self back with durability and longevity...

they do a damn good job of keeping my hands warm in the morning. For reference it has averaged about 35-45 degrees this last month when i leave for work at 5am. My digits are fine in that weather at highway speeds with these gloves.

On my head I wear a balaclava and a Castelli Head Thingy. So far the coldest weather I've ridden in with this kit was -2 C and the biggest issue is my feet since I'm using regular Sidi road shoes and the Castelli shoecovers aren't quite insulating enough. The handle bar mittens are amazingly great. I haven't had to use any thermal layers under the jacket yet but i got some simple ones from dhb. Castelli gear is generally on the more expensive side, dhb however offers more affordable options.

I'm using a firstgear heated riding gloves may look heavy and bulk, but surely it will help warm your hands and finger in winter times.
