Just moved down to SLO last month and finally getting around to signing up on the forum here. My wife and I lived in Reno the past 4 years but originally from the Santa Cruz area where I was born and raised. I'm 66 years old and have been riding on the street since 1964. I raced dirt track in the late 60's early 70's and have been on some sort of sportbike since I bought the first Yamaha RD350 in Santa Cruz back in 1973. I currently ride a 2007 Yamaha FZ6 that I bought new in 2007 and have it set up pretty well. I don't commute or tour, just like the back roads. I enjoy a spirited pace and like all types of roads, but have a fondness for goat roads ! Looking forward to meeting up with the members here on the forum and getting some rides in on all the cool new roads to me
That is a great looking machine. There are lots of fun twistys and many open roads in SLO. you are sure to have a blast!! If you find yourself crusing down PCH a bit towards oxnard ill show you the coastal goodness and the spots to eat at!!
