I'm pretty safe, except for this one stretch of country road I take on my way home from work everyday. :D

I try to stick around the posted speed limit. Course that depends on the road conditions also.

You just gotta stay with traffic or little out in front to be safe in my opinion. However, sometimes its wise to back off and let those aggressive drivers get way ahead of ya.

I have found that SAFE does not alway equal SLOW, sometimes you can be safer just getting ahead of everyone else and staying there.

What!? No metric conversion for us Canucks?

I live life in the 110-130 zone (that would be in those CDN kilometers per hour... or 65-80mph). But I live rural so there's alot of highway miles.

I just enjoy cuising country roads and I'm happy doing the speed limit or a little slower to take in the scenery. But tailgaters don't usually let me do that, so I speed up to 5 or 10 above the limit, if they still tailgate, I signal them to pass or take a turn into some other road and let them get quickly to where ever they are going in such a hurry. I just get lost taking turns enjoying the view, and when it's time to head home, I just punch in "Home" on my GPS and it figures out how to get me there.

How do I move here ??. Posted open road limit is 100 kph (60 mph).. I ride at about 120 - 140 depending on road, traffic, time of day etc..
With only a limited number of days to live, work is a cruel joke..

On most highways in Texas the limit is 75mph so it isn't uncommon to see people cruising along in their trucks and suv's doing 90. I just get out of their way.

It is only fair that I tell on myself too. I ride at about the limit most of the time, not because I want to, because the road that I usually use is patroled regularly by the Texas DPS. At nite I ride 60 mph or less. I have been riding about 1 yr. after 20 yrs. away from it.

Oh, that's awful! It must suck having to ride on a petrol-soaked road every day! What if someone flicks a lit cigarette out their window?
