My best guess is that your battery is not being charged. A few simple tests with a voltmeter would give good information to prove or disprove my guess.
You need to have someone SHOW YOU how to use a voltmeter to do those simple tests.

A regulator is a device that controls charging. If you have a regulator, you have something that's designed to charge the battery (there are exceptions but they are highly unlikely in your case). Motorcycles don't have 'alternators' like cars do - meaning - a separate rotating piece of machinery usually belt driven. The motorcycle alternator components are usually under covers on the engine at the side.Danielboone wrote:Thats is true i put my new battery on and it dies fast do you know what help charge it bc this bike dont have a alternator

You need a voltmeter and a service manual for the bike. Or someone who has them.

Re: Need help with my (2001 kawasaki eliminator bn125a)
You still need a service manual.
I hope your buddy understands that motorcycles don't usually start charging the battery until the engine RPMs are up quite a ways. That's different from how cars usually are. Service manual should tell you what voltage you'll see at what RPM.

No. That's almost as bad as suggesting that your tire pressure is too low.Danielboone wrote:I also got told it could be the clutch safety switch, kickstand safety switch how true is that jw waiting om body get here
That your starter CLICKS says those switches are just fine.

Re: Need help with my (2001 kawasaki eliminator bn125a)
(second try at response)
Car starters usually have the relay ON the starter. Bikes do NOT.
That your relay clicks says that the safety switches are working right. If they weren't the relay wouldn't shift.
Jumpering power to the starter and the starter rolls says - your starter is fine.
Clicking relay can be- dead battery (because it's not getting charged when you run it or it's a dud and won't hold a charge) OR the relay won't pass current due to old age/ high mileage OR corroded terminals on the wires from the battery to the starter or starter to ground (if any ground cables).
Your first post said that the bike quit while running. Which suggests to me that the battery had finally discharged enough that it couldn't support the ignition system. Which points to not charging. Voltmeter test should tell.

Bike has 47,000 miles on it and it got new solenoid and I cleaned all the grounds and cable wires all I got left to do is test the voltage

That's a LOT of miles for a small bike! All those steps should eliminate the other possibilities.Danielboone wrote:Bike has 47,000 miles on it and it got new solenoid and I cleaned all the grounds and cable wires all I got left to do is test the voltage
Another thing to be wary of is you probably need to recharge your new battery to start the bike to do the voltage test. I expect it's a pretty small battery which means that you can't use a typical car battery charger because it will put too much current in too quickly and overheat the battery (possibly warping the lead plates in it). Maybe 1 amp at most. Better 1/2 amp charge rate.
If you jumpstart the bike best to get the cables off quickly for the same reason as too big a charger.
