How about something truly exotic and so absolutely unaffordable it is insane: G2 P51 Combat Fighter by Confederate Motorcycles. Incredible machine if you've got over $100k you don't know what to do with. I know it would get shot down because of the price... but look at it from the functional artistic perspective. Just a thought.......

Thanks Mark for the suggestion, feel free to talk about the Confederate G2 P51 Combat Fighter in the Total Motorcycle Talk or New Models forum, but I don't have any stats on the bike myself and as it isn't listed in our Model Guides, I don't have anything to pull it from.

For the Cool Wall suggestions, I'm a little restrained to the 47 years and 39 manufacturers of bikes I have in our guides.

Maybe you have a 2nd suggestion? :revv:

AS for the confederate their web site doesn't give a lot of info ( www.confederate.com ). I'm a BMW driver (R1200RT wet head), so any of the new models for the '17 year would be great. I think the new G310R should get a great review. Can't help but love the Ducati line, but I think we already voted on the new Super Sport but there is always the Diaval and the Monster. Also am fond of the Guzzi line-up. The Goldwing is always fantastic, but they never seem to update it enough to write about. Thought I might buy a HD Road Glide Ultra for a while, but then I came to my senses. But the "soft tail slim S" seems like a fantastic bar-hopper or pub-hopper depending on what side of the ocean you're on. I'd like to see some votes on the "T-rex" ( https://campagnamotors.com ). Not everyone looks at the 3 wheel vehicles as motorcycles, but the two devices at this web site are amazing. Hey..... you ever need any test riders or bloggers?

Wow, that is a lot of great suggestions and yes, I am always looking for bloggers, what would you like to write? (PM me about getting on the reviewers waiting list).

I haven't done the BMW R1200RT since 2013 model year, so let's do that next week and the H-D 3-wheeler this week. :revv:

All great suggestions, here are some we have done recently. I do bring them back into the Cool Wall on updates though.
The G310R we did here: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=52607 , a great new bike for sure.
Supersport: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=54043
Moster 821: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=49365
XDiavel: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=52551
Diavel: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=52338
Road Glide: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=51646
Softail Slim S: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=51929

The 3-wheelers are always interesting to do, I regularly do the Can-Am's and the H-D Trikes, I think it's time to put up the H-D Tri-Glide this week as well since I haven't done that one since 2012!

Keep the suggestions coming,

Mike

The 2017 Harley Street Rod. I actually can't wait to test ride one. :)

Thanks for the list of previously covered bikes... I recall them all.
Doesn't look like the 3-wheeler is being well received... but that's what this forum is all about. I think even with the two wheels in front they suck... without any lean capability. I test rode the Can=Am Spyder before its initial delivery and thought it to be a snowmobile on wheels. Sounded like crap and handled like crap. In my report I told them that without any lean capability it would never ever be in my garage. they said it would take too much engineering and make it less stable... whateverrrrrrr.
Not sure what I'd like to blog about... how about touring AZ and Utah? Might get in the way of my job... if I had one. You know anyone hiring in AZ?
As for the R1200RT... very interesting rocket ship. So many way to look at the bike and where it fits in the touring scheme. We'll see how it goes when you post it.

No worries, I have so many bikes up on the Cool Wall over the past 7 years, even I have a hard time keeping track of them all!

They are all here on this reference page BTW: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/coolwall/index.htm

Three-wheelers are a unique to themselves category. The Can-Am really is the most successful brand to ever break into that market and honestly, I don't see a lot out there, but there are more and more models Can-Am offers each year... even I'm a little mystified how they stay in business. But choice is always good.

For blogging, there are two options:

1. I have a Member Blogger Forum, which you are free to start up and write about anything you like in your own blog. Some of the blogs even have over a hundred thousand reads! viewforum.php?f=32

2. I am looking at writers to create unique stories, editorials, etc. Previous motorcycle article writing experience would be ideal or your stories/blogs you have written are really well written.

Both would be to help the motorcycling community, gain fame and "pay it forward". With #2, I also have products to review, which most of the time the reviewers get to keep as a bonus.

For a paid job, sorry, I'm freezing my butt off in Canada with my motorcycle in storage for the past 3 months... :brrr: Not sure I can help you out there, but again, there is #1 and #2... Again, let me know if you are interested. :)

I was going to put up the R1200RT this week, but then as I was starting to do that, I realized another BMW I forgot about, the NEXT 100 concept... so that's up. But the RT will be up in the coming months. :)

I totally agree with you about the Can-Am. My thought is that it would be awfully expensive to produce so many different models. And they get progressively more and more expensive to the point where I couldn't possibly. Don't like it anyhow so that's something I don't have to worry about.

1. I'll take a look at the forums page and see how that works for me.

2. I like this idea. I read a lot of cycle mags (my wife says too many) and often don't understand how the writer actually has a job... a lot of rubes out there. Most of my writing experience comes from responding to requests for proposals (RFP) for commercial and government technical training system work. I've also written a number of process and procedures documents. Reviewing products seems like a great way to get started. Something to think about in the future. Here in the Phoenix area I purchased my ride at a dealership owned by the owner of "GoDaddy." That dealership has: BMW; Ducati; Aprilla; KTM; Triumph; Honda; Kawasaki; Ural; Vespa ( www.goaz.com ). He also recently opened the largest Harley dealership in the country in Scottsdale ( hdofscottsdale.com ). Should be easy enough to get demo rides from them for blogging. Just something to think about.

As for a job... was just kidding. I feel your pain with the weather. My last job had me in Gagetown for meetings and equipment delivery during the months of January and February several years in a row. Why (how) do people live there? Thermometer about to hit a balmy 94 here at my house in Cave Creek, AZ today. Not bragging... I have just the opposite problem. A significant part of the summer it's almost too hot to ride with temps reaching over 110 and the sun simply baking your noggin inside the helmet. You try to wear protective clothing but typically sweat through to your underwear after a short while. I'm sure there is a perfect place to live, but I haven't found it yet.

BMW Next 100 Concept bike was interesting. I think there was a nice write-up in BMWMOA Magazine... I'll go and check a back issue. Hope I'm still around and able to ride when that one comes out....... ;)

Thanks for entertaining my thoughts...

Mark

That's Pete! I really, really appreciate that. I try to add a little to it and sum up not only how I feel, but also how everyone else felt about the bike. I try to keep it short, insightful and add a little flavor to it all.
