Don't know much about the 500 ninja, but I did pass my test on the GS500.
As far as I know, the only problem with these bikes if the finish - paintwork etc. shouldnt be a problem with REGULAR cleaning.
Other that, they are great - easy to ride, reliable, and a lot of fun...

So far that's about what I've heard about both of em. I think I'm leaning more towards the GS500 now, seems like everyone that's had one likes it. Time to really start shopping around. Thanks again for the input from everyone, it's made this stage a lot easier.
