K&N Filters worth the money?
K&N Filters worth the money?
I was wondering if you guys thought a k&N filter was worth the money, I just bought a 95 Honda Nighthawk 750 and the filter needs to be changed so I was thinking of getting a K&N. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Good site for figuring out which filters fit your bike:
Motorcycle Oil Filter Xref
If you're in that [5] category, there's lots to choose from.
Also comes with a long discussion of what oil filters are, what they do, why they're good or bad, and which are junk.

K&N as a general replacement filter? Yes.
They are re-useable and work great. Plus, sometimes they are less than an OEM filter and more readily available.
If you are planning on keeping the bike awhile, I'd say "go for it".
A K&N plus punching your pipes/aftermarket pipes, plus re-jet will wake up just about any bike. A K&N filter alone will usually offer little if any performance advantage-except for the re-usability factor.
