Top Exhaust picks for 09-14 R1
What's up everyone!! I'm new to this forum, but not new to motorcycles at all. My current 14 r1 is my 5th bike and second cross-plane r1. I just purchased the matte grey with gold wheels and I'm in the process of doing the normal customizing. What I was wanting some feedback on is what everyone has been doing about the exhaust and some general tidy up parts on the bike. My last r1 already had a two bros black exhaust on it and it sounded great, but I've done my research and the top brands like Yoshi, two bros, akro, and so forth are quite pricey... Has anyone got any good deals on used slip-on systems or what? Also, what fender eliminator looks the best if you're going to go with a rear turn signal delete and integrated tail light? The graves seem simple and neat.. does anyone think any other brands are as nice? I found the best pair of front flush mounts made by Watsen.. they are awesome. Does anyone know any similar styles for cheaper?

When it comes to exhaust systems, finding a balance between quality and price is key. For deals on used slip-on exhaust systems, you might want to check out online marketplaces or local motorcycle forums where riders often sell parts after upgrades.
For a fender eliminator with an integrated tail light, the JL Designs offers a sleek option that includes side LEDs. Another popular choice is the New Rage Cycles fender eliminator, which provides a full LED replacement and a unique design.
If you’re looking for front flush mounts similar to Watsen but at a more affordable price, Motodynamic offers LED flush mount front turn signals that are compatible with the R1 and might be worth considering.

When it comes to exhaust, consider looking for quality used slip-on systems from reputable brands. Brands like Yoshimura, Two Brothers, and Akrapovič are known for their performance, but they can be expensive. As for the fender eliminator, the Graves option is simple and neat, but you might also explore other brands for similar styles at a more affordable price.

it sounds like a beast! When it comes to exhausts, yeah, the top brands can be a bit steep. Keep an eye on forums, Facebook groups, and even local classifieds for used systems - you might snag a good deal.

Check out Akrapovic slip-on and Evolution line kit. My neighbor recently ordered the slip-on for his incoming R1 project. We'll work on his bike once we mounted the headache rack and tonneau covers onto his truck tomorrow.

Congrats on the new R1, sounds like a beauty. For exhausts, I’ve seen some good deals on used slip-ons in the classifieds section here, so definitely keep an eye out. For fender eliminators, Graves is a solid choice, but I’ve also heard good things about Competition Werkes especially here in bakersfield. They have a sleek design that complements the bike well. For front flush mounts, you might want to check out TST Industries – they have some nice options that are more budget friendly.

What are some recommendations for aftermarket parts and accessories that can be used to customize a new Yamaha R1 motorcycle?
