eh, it's all about the representation, and it doesn't have to be gaudy and extravagent to not meet my tastes... plenty of people loose my respect without being gaudy or extravagent.

Dont get too bummed out by it.

As an intelligent race we're still pretty much in the infant stage, but we are growing up. On an overall scale each generation is a bit better than the previous, progress is generally forward.

Its eay not to see it because the timescales are so large compared to our lifespans. I'd like to think we are moving towards a place where people are better people.

Thats my 'truth' I guess and everyday I try to be a better person and less of an arsehole than I was the day before. Some days I'm better t it than others, but I try everyday anyway. Its an article of my faith that I'm not the only one by a long way.

Personally I want to buy a Landrover, for offroading, collecting motorbikes and other stuff a big 4x4 is really good at. Landies have the worst fuel economy so with the way things are going its going to have to be a big V8 diesel converted to run on vegetable oil. Conversion costs a grand and even with the duty on vegetable oil used as fuel still costs less than a quarter of the price of diesel to run. To top off the joy apparently they are less harmful to the environment than other fuel types. :D

Rather...

Look, if ten of us were stuck on a desert island, with only a 55 gallon drum of water to share, and the Hummer owner in our group decided to take a bath in the water I'd be with you on the "misuse of resources" charge. However, I have yet to see a station close its doors, shut off its pumps, or lose patronage due to this environmental catastrophe, so let the poor over-worked and under-vacationed Hummer owner blow off some steam in a mudhole somewhere, okay? Who cares? The thumbs-down gesture is nothing more than a holier-than-thou attitude rearing its ugly head.

hmm, that' funny I've decided that I need to be more willing to be controversial. Certianly not more of an "O Ring" but sometimes it can be interpereted that way.

Can you tell me why you bold and italicise your posts?

Habit from long time ago when I was on icq and the like...

A few years back it came up on another board and someone asked if I spoke in Bold and Italics in real life. 5 of the board members who know me said I do before I got a chance to reply. :)

Although to be fair I speak in Bold only and say 'son' a lot when cross with someone...

OK I'm back from my "rumble" and a hipocrit.

I'm glad I at least caused pause for few of you. I mean no harm to anyone. I also like to think that I don't have to be stupid. I'm just growing and I feel like that motorcycle folks should have that understanding what going on. My grease monkey wine-lovin paranoid WAKO silly rednck named TA is, as I'm finding out is better read than me. I'm sorry a little bit if I hurt a Hummer person's feelings but ya know if ya buy one just do what ya gotta do. I never ment for this thread to go this way. I just felt good about being bad. Peace to all I won't be chiming in here no more. David
