Well, I'm not going to get into the huge debate like you guys have... I've been down that road many times with many different people, and I've come to find that anyone can become extremely defensive when confronted with an opinion contrary to theirs on the subject of religion, faith, personal belief, what have you... I mean, it's their conviction, so everything in contrast is usually going to be taken personally, which can lead to some severed friendships.

As I sat reading some of this, I was compelled at times to interject what I know about biology and anthropology from my studies into the conversation... especially after seeing what Zoo Tech wrote.. lol... but the facts are, he know what he knows... He has his own truth on the matter if you will... we all do. There are times that I wish some people would truly educate themselves about the world around them before tying incomplete bits and peices of scientific fact to religious statements, but that is the nature of man, hypocrisy goes both ways many times.

All I know is that we have our own 'truths' that come from different sources, but were all stuck on this earth together and no matter what you belive, life on this earth is short. So, I'm going riding.. hope you guys do the same today... see you tonight... :)

This thread has really taken off in the last day or so. Very humorous stuff at times. It's always interesting to hear other people's views, regardless of how off the wall they can sometimes be.
Personally, I don't think the world existed before 1941, and any contradictory evidence to that has been faked. :)

Yes he did and yes he does. He knows what is in everyones heart. However it isnt my job to start a religous posting. If your view differs from mine - go ride for a couple hours, then e-mail me. We can go into detail then 8). Hummers do suck gas!

I am giving myself an offtopic smiley. I deserve it! :offtopic:

Anyway, who won the presidential election, iwannadie? Oh yeah...a conservative Christian named George W. Bush. You say my viewpoints are mine alone, yet the red states won. How odd you should overlook that. I may be the only Christian on these forums that isn't so concerned with remaining popular or liked that I keep my mouth shut when my beliefs are challenged, but make no mistake about it I am not alone. And the last election proves to me that you, my friend, are in the minority. Your rants about the logistics of the ark are juvenile at best. And nothing I present to you about Creationism will get through, so just keep believing against all odds that we somehow formed over billions of years due to one random mutation after another and all the while each and every transitional being (missing links) vanished without a trace. In the end you will have to present this grand theory to your Creator and I don't believe he'll be too thrilled to hear about it.

Man invented miniature horses within the last hundred years, right? So would Noah be required to bring two miniature horses along on the ark? No, all he would need is two plain ol' horses. All the information needed to produce quarter horses, apaloosas, draft horses, and miniature horses would be contained in the genes of two thoroughbreds. Evolution, however, states that over time mutations occurred in different creatures that led to the development of additional sensors, appendages, and so forth...yet all the mutuations we observe today result in the loss, not the gain of an ability or attribute. With that in mind, it seems as though evolution has its work cut out for it if it is to explain how millions of loss-producing mutations turned an ameoba into a human. The complexity of the human eye alone should be enough to convince anyone this is not possible. However, evolution appeals to those that do not wish to acknowledge God due to their desire to live unaccountable to Him. But I, for one, choose not to ignore the elephant in the kitchen.
bush, the great christian that was selling cocain when he was young? ya im glad you found his values so great you voted for him, had he been in your area and someone you know died because of his cocain maybe you change your mind. or maybe the idea that bush supported terrorism in his youth makes him a great president i dont know.

but you didnt bother to answer any of my points just dissmiss then as juvenile. so whatever i guess its not worth it anymore.

i live my life wanting to be a good person because thats how i want to live. i dont need the fear of eternal hell scaring me in to be a good person.
What do you think a Christian is? A Christian is NOT a person that has led a perfect life. Every one of us has done stupid things, including George Bush. It's not the life you live that makes you a Christian.

Another question, why are you so bitter?
im bitter because people rot their life away in prison for less than what bush did, but amazingly he gets off with it and goes onto be considered a great man. if the christian way is to forgive anything why dont we just let everyone out of jail who repents?
That's exactly what God does.

Well, he doesn't let them out of jail here, but he does forgive them.

I don't think a fact can be both truth, and a lie. A person may think something is true but if it's not, it's not, and on the contrary he may think it is a lie, but if it's the truth it's still the truth. One's belief does not make a fact true or false.

On the issue of Creation or Evolution, It either is evolution, or it's not, and the same with creation. Whether we believe one or the other does not change which if either is the truth. Does that make any sense?

it makes sense, except that we have to pick one of these for ourselves, since which one you pick hinges upon the existance of a God. If you don't believe we were Created by a God, you obviously cant belive in Creationism. But how can you tell someone that believing in God is wrong?
Thats the entire reason why these arguements exist, because we dont all agree on that one point. All we can do is question why people believe the things they do. The right answer for you is not really the right answer for everyone else.

We can argue Scientific facts, but we can not argue faith.

The problem comes with trying to argue about science with people of faith. There isn't any science in the bible.
