If you look at Southern Images or Killboy, it looks as though they're shooting every weekend and even some weekdays during the summer. I had no idea there was anything like that until I rounded the first really sharp turn and saw their car with their website plastered on the side, and a dude jumping up out of a lawn chair and squatting at the edge of the road with his camera. At the end of the run, on the North Carolina side, they had a booth set up with info regarding their services.
Yes, in that first photo my peg is on the pavement (you can see the sparks better in the full-res pic).

Thanks, I'm really happy with it. There are much bigger and faster cruisers on the market but I think Kawasaki did a pretty good job with this formula. I can't keep up with the crotch-rocket cowboys in the twisties but I can still have plenty of fun.
