Mydlyfkryzis: Your sidebar mentions that you're from northern NJ. Did you get your motorcycle from a dealer? If so, which one? Any specific one that you would recommend?
I visited one called 'motorcycle mall' several weeks ago just to take a look. They seem to have a lot of variety, but the traffic around that area was horrible. I'm not looking to buy for a while, but would like some opinion of dealers in this region.
I don't like water cooled Motorcycles

I prefer water cooling to air-cooled. My Volusia is water cooled. It is not messy. I, uh, I get it, THAT'S FUNNY!
I got caught in a heavy downpour yesterday going to work....for those that don't know I don't own a car. I ride 50 miles round trip everyday. I have a Stearns $24.00 rainsuit that claims "100% waterproof" it isn't....maybe 88% at best.
I don't mind riding in the rain but I'd be happier if it didn't.

I got a joe rocket reactor jacket and have spent a few hours in the rain with it. Though it is not completely waterproof, I was pleasantly surprised at how water resistant it is. The outer textile layer soaks through (soaking any maps you have in your pockets), but not enough to get through the inner full length liner, so as a result, my sweater does not get wet. It also keeps me rather warm. I do still use rain pants over my jeans, but that combination is fairly good for most riding conditions. Now I just need a neckwarmer and I should be good for another few weeks.
