Just because you can find a good deal on x bike doesnt negate the reasons for getting a learning bike, not one bit. If you want to grab the bike at that price, fine. Sell it or garage it until you have been riding on a learner bike for 6 months.
Your 18, listen to the advice of people with alot more knowledge and experience than yourself. It will likely save you alot of grief.
