Changing spark plug wires

#1 Unread post by beerbaron »

I was having a intermittent problem, my bike was loosing power often. I finally figured out that spark 3 wasn't firing all the time. I think it's the spark plug connector wich is great since they cost 2,50$ . But it also could be the spark plug wire. How can I change a spark plug wire without buing the pickup coils?

It's a Yamaha FZ600 1988

Thanks

You should be able to take the wires off the coils. Usually they are sealed and need to be worked on, but it's doable.
