I'm feeling a little slow today - I'm not altogether sure what that means.

The speedometer is that thing that you subtract 20 from whenever a cop asks if you know how fast you were going.

I would highly recommend a different first bike than a Gixxer 600...

so, what would be better than? i've seen in all these ads, "perfect beginner bike". would you recommend a cruiser instead of a sport? b/c i was really leaning towards a sport....but i also don't feel like killing myself from the get-go. I've heard Ninja's are alright, but will run into more maintenance problems.....

I'd suggest those three. If you have alot of faith in your skills then maybe an SV...but a Ninja 500 or GS500 should give you plenty of "zing" to start with.

this has been the best recommendation so far by word of mouth. i'm thinking used, for about $3500? hopefully...if its not more than five brand new i'll probably go with that
