I seem to recall an advert saying it was designed as a second bike. Ideal for someone who already had some miles under their wheels.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

The bandit 600 is a standard with a sportbike engine. It falls under the same category as the katana 600 that it shares an engine with, its in that grey area that bikes like the SV650 fall under. For a 600 4 cylinder it is one of the more forgiving ones and doesn't pack much more punch than the SV650 (about 10hp higher).
The bandit isn't as heavy as a katana but it is still no lightweight, it is also a rather tall bike with a bigger frame than a 600 sportbike.
I personally find the bandit 600 to have a very comfortable riding position, and im 5'10" about 200lbs

Doesn't matter what the bike is, very few people here will recomend that you skip taking the course.amiles wrote:thanks i thought so. i was just curious. i want to start out on something tame. i may try to teach myself how to ride since i cant take an msf course right now. is this a good idea on say a ninja 250?
A lot of what you need to learn is counterintuitive, and difficult to teach yourself. Take the course, it's the easiest way to learn.
