Brand Newbie

#1 Unread post by wndrwmn71 »

Hi all. I'm totally new to motorcycling, but I have done extensive research and reading up on the sport. I just bought a 93 CBR 600 F2, and got a pretty good deal on it. I got a used bike 'cause I dont want the heartache of damaging the paint on a new bike. Like I said, i'm a novice. I once was on a YZF-1000 long enough to move it about 3 feet, before gravity and inexperience kicked in...

The soonest MSF course (which I WILLbe taking) isn't for another month; so I want to get used to the machine NOW.
Any suggestions??

Welcome to the site. Nice bike you picked, good idea skipping the R-1 for now..... that Honda is all the bike anyone would ever need.

If you got a bike licence, practice riding around quiet streets and empty parking lots. Slow and easy and focus on low speed bike control.

If you don't have a licence yet, legally your screwed..... but if your going to break the traffic code, wear a bloody helmet and good gloves..... or wait for the class....... 8)
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
