I just dont understand what the reasoning behind the high bars like that is and was wondering if someone could shed some light on that.
For my self after my back surgery last year this keeps my back upright and fairly straight . Making for a far more comfortable riding experience . Not to mention that it keeps the overall look very retro which is also what I wanted . So it adds form to a function that is suited to me .

Where is this Warrior rusting? Do you know the Warrior has an aluminum frame? Do you know out of 5000 warrior members in the website for Warriors, not one person has rust on their bike? Are you sure you even saw a Warrior? Usually we're moving too fast for anyone to even notice us!

Someones feeling a little defensive. Don't gorte that even with an aluminum frame most pipes are still made out of steel and chrome usually covers either platic of steel. There's lots of places for a bike to rust if you aren't careful.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Hey Storysunfolding,

My advice is to test drive each of your considerations and look online for the aftermarket availabilities if you want to and can afford to personalize whatever you decide on. It sounds like the Warrior is a little out of reach money-wise but it also sounds like you really want it the most. To give you a little background of my experience or lack-thereof, I never rode a bike before this spring and I've wanted one for many years now. I initially thought of a Honda Shadow Sabre or a Limited Edition V-Rod. Big difference in prices. I chose the Warrior because it was halfway between the two and it not only looks sharp, but I have been able to customize it to the point that I get compliments where-ever I go, from whomever I meet, whether they are riding BMWs or high-end Hogs. This has been the most satifying part - using my imagination to make it my own. The bike handles like a dream and screams at will. I don't regret my decision one bit. The truth of it is that it should be something you can afford to keep and won't have regrets buying. It's really good to be informed but don't be swayed by anyone elses personal biases. Whatever you decide on, it is your decision - period. Now, I'm starting to sound like my father - yikes!

dont all modern sports bikes, im thinking for my next project im gonna build a a bike with a 1980 GS750, with a YAMAHA TURBO, in a early SLAB side, GIXER frame, with Busa wheels and brakes and suspension...IVe got most of the parts....

In actuality, ANY bike can rust as long as it has steel bolts, steel parts, chrome, etc. Thanks Dr. Evil for that good advise.

Your planned build sounds interesting.... and frustrating. Slapping a thou into 750 frame was just too easy, eh? :laughing:

I have had Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and even a Honda. It doesn't matter what I ride, as long as I enjoy it. Each kind has troubles sometime. If I was to buy a new bike right now, it would be a Suzuki. Only because they are fuel injected and the Yammy isn't. (Darn nice up here in the cold weather). I can buy either the V-Star 1100 or the Suzuki M50 for almost the same price, so price is out of it. Yamaha dealer is located in home town, Suzuki is 50 miles away. Test drive any you can and see which you like the best. Have fun shopping.
