Can You Ride Alone with a Motorcycle Restricted/Permit?
Hey
I found this online:
With your Learner’s License, you may:
Only drive during daylight hours during the first three months and until 10 p.m. thereafter, always with a licensed driver who is at least 21 years old and occupies the front passenger seat.
Am I mis-understanding that or does that state I can drive without a licensed driver until 10 p.m. for the first three months?
Yes, this may seem like a stupid question. But hey, Better safe than sorry right? Just making sure.
Thanks = D

Sounds like a car license to me dude. I've never heard of a bike with a front passenger seat...
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Well, Nevermind that quote, I got it from a FAQ talking about motorcycles and click "Learnes License" and figured it was for a Motorcycle and comes out it's more than likely for a car.
Well, the main question is can you drive a motorcycle with only a learners permit? Are there ways around driving your motorcycle without your operators license? Even if it is only to and from school or to and from work or between a certain time.
Thank You Guys : )

Depends upon where you live. Around here: Alberta, Canada a valid class 5 (regular drivers license) counts as a learners permit for a class 6 (motorcycle) however you must be accompanied or in the presence of someone who has a valid class 6 (motorcycle) license at all times during a ride or training.
I believe that the class6 holder is not allowed to be on the same vehicle as you, I'm also pretty sure that you aren't supposed to be out at night.
The other option is to take a certified MSF course with one of the local places and learn how to ride through them. You don't require a license, but they will train you in parking lot exercises, after which you will take a slow speed parking lot based skills test. If you pass that you'll be followed by an instructor in a car through the streets on a planned route so you can demonstrate your street riding skills and ability to obey the rules of the road.
Though it's probably different where you live.

I live in Miami, FL.
Thanks guys, but No one has really given me a straight forward answer on wether I can ride alone or not.
Sevulturus hinted at that I couldn't, but I just want be sure before I go and purchase the bike. And I do plan on taking an MSF coarse, does that certify me to ride alone while having my motorcycle permit?
*Note: I do not have my drivers license, only my restricted. I get my drivers License in May.
Thanks

Then the answer should be obvious, if you do not have a license of any kind you cannot ride alone. You shouldn't be riding at all. At that point you're dangerous not only to yourself, but also everyone you share the road with.
If you have a car license you can usually ride with someone else who has a bike license. But it depends where you live.
If you have a learning permit then you either need to have someone with you, or only ride in certain places at certain times.
If you have a full bike license you can ride anywhere, anytime.
The smart thing to do, rather then checking here, would be to talk to someone at the local DMV. I'm sure they can give you the answer.

They do have a physical location, perhaps you could take the bus or walk there to ask someone in person. Failing that hit 0 on the phone and there should be a real person there.

Until I was 21 I rollerbladed everywhere I was going. I think my record was a 20km trip around town during an afternoon. I used to be in good shape. I had my car-license when I was 17. There is no shame in walking or public transport, I know I lived it for what seems like forever.
