Nitrogen v. Ambient Air in Motorcycle Tyres?

I don't know how much else I can tack on to this question other than, "Go or No-go".

Anyone have any opinions or specific knowledge about it?

I'd go with the hydrogen, you'll get better gas mileage

Since air is 80% nitrogen if you have easy access to a nitrogen supply, then inflate your tires with it. It won't react with the rubber in your tires or tubes and your tire pressure may be a slight bit more stable, but being a gas it will still conform to Boyles' Laws regarding temperature and pressure so you will still have to make adjustments for tire pressure when the temperature drops or rises. Nitrogen is commonly used to inflate tires in many military aircraft.

Hydrogen is too dangerous to fool around with as it can explode and while helium molecules are only very slightly heavier than hydrogen, the molecules are so small that they will leak out easily and you will have to constantly be adding helium to keep the tire pressure where it should be. Beside that helium isn't exactly cheap.

Sarcasmium is a liquid. Not used for high speed tires.

Only used in Tractor tires and/or Harley Davidsons.

Have you considered using methane? Very inexpensive, you can use your own supply. If your tires develop a leak you will be able to tell immediately. Oh ya, no open flames while you are expelling, unless you are "into" that sort of thing.

I would like to meet the person who can generate enough pressure with personal equipment to inflate a bike tire to 40lbs....

My girlfreind might tell ya that i have enough "internal compression and combustion" to fill a bike tire, but im standing firm that i could only fill a low pressure atv tire. 5 psi max.

Not exactly the same thing, but a while back on the news there was an Indian strong man whose favorite trick was to blow a hot water bottle up like a balloon until it actually exploded.

I didnt' believe it was possible until they showed the clip.
