HOT!

Wanna get together for a ride next summer? I want to see that bad boy in person.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I'm down for some of that. Let me know when you guys decide on a time.

I want to lay eyeballs on this bike, myself. 8)

So what WAS a gixxer 750?

Just curious. What made you want to strip it down and make a fighter out of it? Were the plastics rashed to hell or something?

Still love the look of that thing.

I bought a 2002 Gixer thousand....it had been in a heavy smash but it was in fair shape but the hedstock was out of line so the bike was writen off by the previous owners insurance company, I bought it for $1200 and it was running.
for the ease of registering the bike, I bought a Gixer 1998 SRAD 750, that had a blown motor, some young guy had been wheelying the bastad with no oil in the bike, I fitted the 1000 motor in the srad frame...( lots of work) sold the srad plastics....Ive still got the 1000 front end and rear end...lots of spare parts, in total the bike cost me about 2000 bucks canadian, and its alot of fun, Im not a fairing kinda guy, I like to feel the force of nature hitting me .....I like minimalistic, I dont wanna carry a passenger....hence the solo seat, bare industrial bike you see before you, I could of built a standard looking srad with a 1000 motor, but when you go for a ride and park up with other bikes...the stale clone blue and white fairings and body work, dont get my goose up.

the swinging arm is like three inches shorter on the sradcompaired to the 1000, and the high seat hieght and bars make me feel im riding a 1000cc MotoX...bags of fun for the whole dam family

Sweet so you basically took 2 dead bikes and made one kick "O Ring" fighter out of it.

How hard was it to fit the standard bars to the Gixxers front end.
