Makes sense. After all, we have all the same internal systems as apes and even share their fundamental bone structure and body shape. But man was created in God's image, and monkeys were not. Amazing what that 1% amounts to in the grand scheme of things.
I hardly see a difference :D
After reading some of these posts, I'm almost compelled to agree with you.

I don't even know where to begin anymore . First off this all started with a simply satire that I found amusing and wanted to share .
I have the utmost respect for the ACLU and what they have done .
(I'm sure I am leaving my self open on that one )
Aids was first introduced into this country by contaminiated blood from Africa . Do the research if you don't believe me .
Whether ones ego will allow one to admit it or not , but humans are just another form of animal . And not even the most intelligent ones at that . However humans have the distinct ability to rationalize . If I am not mistaken I believe we rank around fourth in intelligence according to our particular environment .
As far as child molesters or rapists of any stripe I have no liberal attitude . My personal beliefs have long been that they should all be publicly castrated without benefit of anesthesia and it should be blanketly broadcast on National Television . I am willing to bet that within 5 years time it would become almost non existent . (you asked)
Now lets go back to the "Word" for a minute .
We were given this earth (according to the word ) with the proviso that we were to be stewards . What a fine mess we've done with that .
And another admonition from the word that I strongly am reminded of is;
"Marvel not that the enemy comes disguised as an angel of light "
I think that today that is more significant than when it was first written .
In an earlier post someone referenced that the Old Testament was not as relevent ( my paraphrase ) as the New Testament . At the time that was the Law . And in some religions it is still the law .
And on the subject of inalienable rights , that difinition is as follows ;
incapable of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred *inalienable rights*
Ok , that's my rant for now .
Kindest regards, Wizzard

I have a question for you zootech. If the bible were written in modern times, what do you think God would have to say about speeding?

It won't be in the bible because the bible was written in the days when camels were modes of transport across deserts.

Now that we have cars and trucks and motorcycles on the highways and biways speeding and generally ignoring the laws, what do you suppose would be in the bible if it were written today?

And, no, I am not making fun of you. Like I said in an earlier post, everyone is entitled to their belief whether it is different from someone else's or the same.

I asked the question because of the other topic currently being discussed in the soap box.

Can't help but think that was aimed at me, but I find it interesting how well it fits into everything I've been saying. Liberalism wants to be viewed as compassionate, all the while labeling conservatives as intolerant and prejudiced. That's one example of the enemy disguising itself as an angel of light.

Another example is my point about the Catholic church. That verse is in reference to Satan, the great deceiver, and describes exactly how the Anti-Christ will come to a position of power - through deception by disguising himself as a great healer and spiritual leader.

God commanded us to give unto Caesar (the government) that which is Caesar's. He expects us to follow the laws of the land so long as they do not conflict with the laws of God.

So, yes, by speeding I am sinning. I've been rather open about my sinful nature and this is a very good example, Blues.

With so many bikes laid up for the winter we were bound to wander far off-topic sooner or later. I highly doubt this discussion, or any like it, will be around come spring. :laughing:
