It just gets better and better as they go along.... still to read the book though.... KTM must've been gutted with the sales of the beemer because of this

A friend loaned me his 3 DVD set of "The Long Way Round" last week. AMAZING story, wickedly entertaining series!!!! I had the book already, bought it at the Toronto Bike Show back in December. Got Charlie Boorman's autograph, too... he was there at the show to give a live interview on stage about the adventure. Even had a question & answer session with the audience afterwards (most of whom were obvious BMW GS owners).

I wish i could afford a R 1150 GS Adventure and to go on a 20,000 mile trip. That looks like an amazingly fun thing.

It was on A&E here in the US about 6 or more months ago. Loonette and I watched it from end to end. To me the worst thing seemed to be at the end that they were rushing to wrap it up in the allotted time, but over all it is very interesting. Even with a full support crew they are sometimes unable to continue to move on across Asia. I hate that the whole thing ends with them meeting with the chopper family, but it is TV after all, so what can we expect?

Not only that, but the fact that Ewan seemed to be fawning over them like they were friggin' folk heros or something... I got the impression that American Chopper was big over in England, so they must REALLY be hurting for entertainment over there.

KTM UK had their chance, but WOULD NOT GIVE THEM THE BIKES!

Never heard of it. That's the only problem with TIVO. I don't watch commercials for the last two years, whcih is great, the only downside is that I miss out out on hearing about the very few new shows I'd like. i'll keep my eye's open for it.
