I started on the street. After riding about 5 years, I tried a friends dirt bike on a gravelly area. I got about 100 feet and had to turn around and get off. It was too slippery on the loose gravel. I like to have a solid feel between my tires and the riding surface.

I voted dirt but now that the brain cells are kicking in again it was on a put-put one lung mini-bike at the DMV pratice driving corse. I must have been in the 6th grade, then moved up to a Honda Trail 70, remember those? Lets see, next was a Yamaha 175 enduro, then a Combat Wombat 125. Hmm, next it was a Husky 360 open class I think. This is amazing, I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night!! Then it was my Kawasaki -KX 250 A5, motocrosser, raced for 4 years (dirt ) I had a friend with a Sportster who let me sneek around town back then to. I still have an old Suzuki Rm-125 motocrosser that i get out to the track with a few times every summer. Love to catch air and drag the bars on the ground in the berms. Last summer got some time in a various sport bikes. Now this summer I hope to hell, got to happen, will be devistated if I cant, buy my Kawasaki ZX-6R. This was a cool thread, brought back memories of good times. Crap I'm gettin old. Damn
Same here,I rode a dirt bike when I was younger, then nothing till 20 years later. So for the street side of it I started on a 2000 Suzuki 250 marauder
