It's time to kill the kids at the bus stop.

Possibly the best solution aside from garaging the bikes would be set up a small security camera and catch the lil care on video. Then confront the parents with the footage and threaten to sue or report the kids to the cops (the parents will usually be required to pay restitution for any damage that results from their idiot kids).

You could go to your local garden centre or big pet store....I'm not sure where else carries these things....It is a sprinkler on a motion detector so that when someone passes by, the sprinkler turns on. It was designed to keep dogs from coming onto people's property but no reason not to use it for humans.

This thread just frustrates the hell out of me.

I can't stand the stupid, arrogant nature of so many idiots who think that because the vehicle is a motorcycle, it's okay to touch it, sit on it, flick gears, etc. Most people that walk by a car with its top down in a parking lot never do more than look at it. But when it's a bike, all kinds of morons are touching stuff, twisting the throttle etc. There's just no respect for other people's property; and what's worse is that I think these people are so stupid that they actually believe bikers expect thier rides to be touched when they park it.

Once I was coming out of the mall and saw two guys (15-17 years old?) messing with my ride. One was just standing with a clueless grin on his face, the other was twisting my throttle making moronic 'vroom vroom' noises. I wasn't in a good mood, and had change in my hands for some reason. I took a penny and when I got about 20 ft. from them, hurled it at them, and got throttle boy in the back of the head. He turns and scowls 'Hey!' to which I growled back "Touch my bike and I'll touch you." And added "Now, [INTERCOURSE EXPLICITIVE] OFF!"

Another time, when I was living at home, my ma's husband was smoking in the garage. His SUV was parked in the drivway, right up against the garage door, which was 1/2 way down. He told me the young 15 year old punk from accross the street comes wandering in, not noticing the 6 ft dude in the corner of the garage. My bud yells WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! and the kid just about defouled his pants. The kid said shakingly, "I wanted to see the bike". My bud yelled at him to get out and never set foot on the property again. He never looked at our house again.

MORONS.
Wherever you may roam
May you own your road.

Sounds like the best advice yet. Any kind of trap can backfire on you, and land you in jail, even if it's on your own property. The kids will tell their parents they got shocked by your bike. "We were just looking at it.", the parents will call the cops. The cops could well arrest you. The prosecutor may decide to make an example of you. You will have to hire a lawyer to defend yourself. That will not be cheap. You will be painted in the press as a kook who wanted to harm kids. You get the picture.

Assuming you live in an apartment, or a townhouse type complex, where parking lots and such are probably considered "common ground" or some other such term, there isn't much you can do about anyone standing near it, and looking other than to warn them away. Touching it is different.

If you own your own home, they of course are committing tresspass to come on your property to even look. Call the law.

What the hell is wrong with people. I know when I was younger, I would stare at someone's bike if I saw one, but I would never start touching. Kids seem to get dumber and dumber :?

If you have two way radios, perhaps you could stick one under the seat and wait for the vermin to show up. When they do and start messing around, simply chime in on the other unit from your hidden vantage point and tell them that they have been identified and recorded and if they do it once more they will get a visit from the local authorities. Hopefully they would listen to reason...might be worth a try.
Take 'er easy and if it comes easy, take 'er twice!

airsoft pump-action shot gun. Take the little piece of orange plastic off the end, walk out side and give it a pump. I can almost guarantee that the little bastards will "poo poo" themselves.

Depending on what state you are inhat is a felony.... A prosecutor with half a brain will get you thrown in jail for that!!!! Some states dont belive that their subjects have a right to self defence.....

Either water sprinklers, or coat the boike covers in nasty stick stuff, or some strong base or acid....
