I think he could have been faster then the car had he had some time to get to know the bike. Looks like he was fighting it most of the way.

Imagine what a REAL driver could have done with that car instead of some lady yacking and waving at the camera the whole way.

That's funny. I thought that too. I don't know if I could have done better than her, but I wouldn't mind trying. 8)

I don't think either one of them was very good.
Actually the rider was pretty good to keep it under control, BUT.
A lot of theatrics on the bike.
When do you see a bike racer with the front wheel off the ground? Only after the checkered flag!
Also, if you screw up with the throttle on a car like that on the track what happens?
Whee that was fun...hey I think I'm a bit seasick.
What happens on a bike?...Let me show you the scars,...And I wasn't even screwing around!!!
Familiarity breeds contempt.

I had a great run this weekend to the Lesotho Highlands, lots of tight twisties. As we hit the canyons one of the girls on her GS1200 came past me and disapeared into the distance, the same girl tells me she is scared to ride my bike. There are so many variables your question is really moot.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
