Hot weather gear
Hot weather gear
Have started looking around for gear. With the warm weather in the Tampa Bay area was considering the Alpinestars Air-Flo Textile Pant and jacket or something of similiar style.
What do others wear for warm weather gear? Heavier weight and use underarmour to cool?
Now a newbie question...... Is the pant made to be worn over street clothes?

For me warm weather gear is just only A half helmet, L/S T-shirt and Levi's 501. But don't count on me this since I'm a mentally challenged.
Seriously you can get some mesh jacket or pants, air gloves and a good full face helmet with maximum ventilation. Don't ride in traffice when hot weather, the heat will kill ya. You gotta keep you bike moving to cool you off.
I am in SoCal with some ride in desert with temp over triple digits. I have Cortech Coaster Air with liner off, and Cortech Gripper Gloves which is good for warm weather. For helmet you have to tried what it fits you the best and consider the one with nice Ventilation. I got HJC Symax (more expensive) rather than CL-max becuz of better feature and better ventilation.

haha. Anywas. If i could id by a textile airflo jacet and such i would, and i reccomend that. But alas, being a student with little cash makes having one set of gear hard no less two. So when its hot i wear my leather Alpinestars jacket, shoei full face helmet, joe rocket gloves, and either dickies or jeans depending on if im going to work ot not. when its cold it wear my leather Alpinestars jacket, shoei full face helmet, joe rocket gloves, and either dickies or jeans depending on if im going to work ot not. But ya if i could id buy an airflow jacket, some cooler gloves and maybe some textile or mesh pants. But i cant, so its full leather all the time. But eh at least im always safe right, cause sweat will wipe off roah rash wont So buy some textile airflo junk

David Hough wears a turtle neck (or something similar, don't remember offhand) and keeps it wetted down with water squirted in through the visor to keep him cool during hot days/long trips.
He also mentioned that you actually stay cooler wearing more gear if you are under the blazing sun having hot air blasting against you.....
