Icon puts out a nice military spec vest you might want to check out (When you have a little more cash) http://www.newenough.com/icon_mil_spec_vest_page.htm

Here in Italy, we don't have to wear the vest because we'd be the only ones doing it (Americans) ... which would make us an obvious target for the baddies. I like the Icon vest though ... may get one just for the heck of it!

I bought the vest already - paid a little more than I would have from newenough, but I wanted to ride! The vest has a handy pouch in the back that is great for holding things like my keys, GPS, and other smallish odds and ends.
