Good advice to a prospective rider

#1 Unread post by skoebl »

A very attractive young lady approaced me this afternoon asking me what kind of bike would be good for her. I asked what kind she was looking into (cruiser, sport, etc), and what she had been told by other people she had spoken to. She said she had been told to get something like a 250, and that she wanted a sportbike.
I told her a Ninja 250 would probably fit the bill quite nicely (she was also kinda small in stature), and I told her where to start looking for one (craigslist, inquiring at the local motorcycle shop, etc). I then let her sit on my GS  I told her that I wasn't totally sure, but bikes like the GS500 or EX500 may also be suitable, but not to jump at them too quickly, and to be sure to sit on the bike first.

I'd say were I not engaged, I would have had an excellent opportunity to get a...uh...'riding' buddy

*Edit* Also made it quite clear that she should take the MSF, and seeing as how I was going to call them, and had the number on me, let her know how to get a hold of them
SV650 K6 <---Suuper Awsome bike

If I didn't feel like a monkey &*$%ing a football when I sat on a sporty, I'd probably own one.[/quote]

Did you tell her to stop by here? Or maybe you didn't want to scare her.

He's just looking out for those of us that are single. Or well, that's what he'll tell the wife.

I laughed at the 'riding' buddy comment. Play on words are fun.

But it is always nice to see more females getting into the sport.
Have fun on the open /¦\

Yes but the question is whether there's a bike involved.
