2006 GSXR1000

#1 Unread post by DietrichS »

Hey guys thinking about buying a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 tomorrow.. sudden and spur of the moment purchase, Wondering if any of you would happen to know the invoice price on one of these?.. I've been looking around and haven't found it as of yet.. It would be good to know when it comes to talking them down so i dont sound like a complete idiot.

Thanks

Only thing you can do is give them your offer. They will either say yes or no.

remember there is not much profit built into the price of a bike. You might be able to get OTD of 10K and might get a helmet. Factor in destination charge and prep fee too.

This isn't your first bike is it?

i got it for $10,626... it would have been way higher if i didn't get a huge discount.

freight and handling fee was very high.

10K w/ helmet and jacket??? good luck to you.

You might be able to get some sort of discount on an '05 model, but you said yourself that you have not even seen one at a dealer. This would be an indication that they are selling well at the retail price and that you have a snowballs chance in hell of getting a good deal.

It can be done... i'll have to bicker with them a bit and see what i can do.. need an invoice to take to my bank for the loan.. I'm dealing directly with the owner.. so that could be to my benefit..

DietrichS, there's a volume dealer an hour south of here in Massillon, OH that passes out price sheets at the CW Int Bike Show in Cleveland each year which I use for a guide to possible low prices in the area. Their price for an 06 GSXR1000 is $9499. No freight, no prep, no set-up added. Might give you an idea how much the bike can be bought for. J&J Motors, 800-762-5993.
