I've only done it a couple times while on the bike (kinda scary for me to take a hand off the bars). Though I have waved at other riders while I'm walking around in my gear (at the store, etc) and usually get a reply.

It's a bad habit to get in to... I have a problem not nodding or waving when I see another bike, whhich is okay unless I am on foot or in the car...

I acknowledge every rider I see regardless of what they're riding or where I'm riding , for that matter .

My option is not listed in the poll.

I wave to all other fellow riders, unless the situation requires my left hand to remain on the bars (pulling clutch in) in which case I will nod to the other rider

All the time, everywhere and regardless of make/model. I especially like waving to sportbikes while on my Harley, it's fun to watch them almost stuff it into the weeds from the shock. :D

None of the above.

We don't often wave here in Australia, it is merely a nod in the other riders direction.

I do so whenever I can safely, meaning that if I'm shifting up or down I won't, or if I'm in a corner that's a little hotter then it should be.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
