i give the wave/nod all the time, depending on what feel like, the problem i run into now is it has become a habit so now when im working i do it and i ge the oddest looks because i drive a big box truck and it confuses them that i nod/wave.

I don't wave much in city traffic. Around here, you're likely to be doing 50-55 mph on an 8 lane boulevard, surrounded by mindless cagers. Occasionally, I'll see someone in the opposite direction, in similar traffic, waving away. If the cage in front of them hits the brakes, they'll be a trunk ornament. I'll give these guys a nod if I see them, but for the most part, I'm concentrating on the cages surrounding me.

On the open road, I wave my "O Ring" off

Here in the south if you ride a sport bike you wave at sport bike riders. If you ride a cruiser you wave at cruisers. I don't have a problem with waving at everybody, but most of the time when I wave at a cruiser they don't wave back. :frusty:
