not sure i understand, if you say the frame number is the vin number, take it to the police (written down on a peice of paper) and have them check to see if its stolen.

I did this last year on a 72 cb750 that had been sitting on the side of the road. I wrote down the number on the engine, and the number on the frame (which were different), and the Police told me it wasnt hot.

If you cant track it by either of those numbers, then even it is was hot, how would anyone know?

Carfax does not cover bikes, nor anything that old... doesn't matter anyway, I must've hit "back" too many times on Craigslist because I just discovered I was in the sanfrancisco listings.

anyway the point was that I don't have the VIN so I would have to go out to it, get the vin off it, then go to the DMV, then go back to it (but seeing as he was trying to sell a '79 cb750k for $50 I wouldn't expect it to last that long, along with a pretty complete '75 cb360 for $175) This is all assuming I couldn't get him to send me the VINs, which I wasn't counting on.

man those bikes were perfect though... sigh :(

They're prefect until the police show up to talk to you about knowingly recieving stolen merchandise. At which point the whole day is ruined :P lol. Might be better that you missed these ones.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Honda CG 125, 1996, Blue.
Looks almost exactly the same as the one to the left here...

Last seen outside my house five hours ago.

I wish I were.

I have the sick feeling that she has been taken by professionals and is already a pile of parts.

Third party only, which is pretty much the same as your collision cover...

The monetry value of CeeGee is so low that theft cover wasnt economical...

I want their ears nailed to the wall outside my house.

That bike was just too damn good to end her career as a pile of spare parts.

The complete irony is that Si who sold me CeeGee was over mine at the time and he is a Police Officer... Can you believe that?

Sorry man. That's gotta be the worse. And also that the bike had more value to your heart than the dollars it was worth. I put good thoughts your way and hope things turn out better.
