When the kids grow up,I'll be doing south America on the bike if not sooner. Now if I can just manage to stay healthy that long....

I'll stick up for Zoo here....I use IE, and have a standard monitor...no scroll bar on my end....his posts/links have always come through good here, including the one in question.
As for long term goals....I want to be confident enough to one day do the "Fall Ride"" here in Wisconsin. It is a Harley sponsored ride, fundraiser, is a good time to just be there, but I wanna actually ride it sometime....kinda turning into a mini Sturgis in our Northwoods. Once I have gotten through that, then its onto Sturgis!

I can't believe I'm going to even chime in on the scroll bar thing, but I have seen this happen on the board and it is vary annoying. Now, whether Zoo offended in this way, I do not know because it was changed when I joined the conversations. I will say the scroll at the bottom is a pain in the butt, but I just deal with it, as opposed to beefing with anyone about it - but that's me.
On the long term goals; I think Vermilion is hoping to see more of us focused on increasing our speed and skill and having a recorded or hoped for statistic. I can only speak for myself, but I have not plans to record how fast I went, how much I improved in speed, or anything like of the sort.
My long term goal; I want a decent bike for touring and I want to travel a long distance on a vacation. I have simple tastes and they don't included proving how fast my bike can go. It goes fast enough for me, and I'm sure most bikes would do the same. I think my next bike will be a Concours, which would be a down grade to most people from my bike.
But I'm just 40 years old now, and I think if I was younger or more adventurous, I'd be concerned with these issues myself. That is why I've said I'm glad I started riding when I was older, because if I started when I was younger, I might not have the chance to be older.

Amen to that................I'm so thankful the riding bug never bit when I was anywhere near my 20's....or even early thirties for that matter!scanevalexec wrote:........... Having never witnessed the phenomenon in question on any of the half-dozen or so computers I have posted to this forum from, I can honestly say I had no idea what Sev meant about messing up the frames. I have seen it happen due to over-sized pictures, but never from a long website address. I always preview all my posts and check for such things, as well as grammar, spelling, and context. I apologize to anyone affected by the post pre-edit, and to Sev for the misunderstanding and for perpetuating a pointless argument.scanevalexec wrote:I can't believe I'm going to even chime in on the scroll bar thing, but I have seen this happen on the board and it is vary annoying.
