Passed the MSF test!
Took it this weekend, learned tons and passed the test. It was challenging for me from begining to end because I had never ridden before but I had 2 great instructors and trusted everything they told me. Incredible what a diffrence it make to just keep your head up and turn that head on turns... My tire hit the line of the figure 8 box on the last turn but considering I had never ridden before, I was pretty happy with that. Now its practice, practice, practice...

Congratulations on passing!
If your tire only hit the line, you did better than many. When I took the course, some folks completely messed up the figure 8, yet ended up passing anyway. You can lose a max of 8 points on the figure 8, and your allowed to lose up to 20 points and still pass.
Do you have a bike, or are you shopping?

I have a Vulcan
My husband wanted me to drive his Honda Sabre 1100 but I said no way, thats now for sale. I got a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800 and im in love with it. Not only is it beautiful, it rides really well for me. What were doing is taking it to a near by empty parking lot and practicing everything from the class. When Im ready to take it on the road, i'll do it at an off time that dosent have alot of traffic, like a Saturday morning at 6:30 am and just build from there.

Surprisingly I aced the figure eight, which was the part of the test that really had me worried.
Where I had the worse performance was the emergency stop, trying not to anticipate the mine I went a little too far over....
Congrates on passing!!!!!
Is that a new bike smell in the air?????

Mustang, that's amazing.... I did exactly the same thing on my test, the only points I lost on the whole thing.Mustang wrote:Where I had the worse performance was the emergency stop, trying not to anticipate the mine I went a little too far over....

Re: I have a Vulcan
The Vulcan 800 was on my short list of bikes, if I hadn't bought a Bonneville I could have wound up on an 800 Classic. I was very comfortable on it.Sweet Tooth wrote:I got a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800 and im in love with it.
