Best way to find a used bike?
Anyone know of a good place to find used bikes in the Orange County/L.A. area? I've been checking craigslist.com and cycletrader.com regularly, but I was just wondering if there are any other websites out there. I want to spend 3000 or less (already have helmet, jacket, boots and gloves).
I don't think so. Maybe socalriders.com but that's south Carolina, not sure where LA is in comparison.
Classifieds in the newspaper. Americanclassifieds.com might work.
Uhm...you can pick up a hard copy at like supermarkets and stuff.
What else...dealerships will sometimes sell used bikes (one near me does) but not often.

I was trying to find a bike for a friend last year and it seemed to me that Craigslist and Cycle Trader were the best bets for finding something in your local area.
I found dozens of "bikes for sale" websites, but most of them were a waste of time. If you want to buy a bike, you've got to go where the sellers go, and that's the two sites above.
