why are they using V twins for their SBKs? inline 4s are much better in performance right?

even if i had the money to buy one. i still won't since i prefer inline 4 compared to V twins. mostly bec of engine sound.

but the new millie looks really good.

a ducati would destroy yout GSX-R in twisties. Well, maybe not destroy, but beat. Straight line, inline 4 beats it.

Those Italian bikes are also much more expensive than a gixxer with nice suspension already built in.

Give me a GSX-R1000 and the difference in cost between those two bikes, Ill give you a bike that makes a Ducati stand still in the twisties.

you got me curious... what mods are you gonna get for a gixxer1000 if you had the money to make it a monster in the twisties?

Have you ever ridden a v-twin Duc?

How do you know you won't like it better?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

you should know by now that im very shallow on some of my criteria.

like i said, i like the sound of an inline 4 better than V twin, which i wasn't that aware when i was shopping for my bike. i almost bought an red/black '05 SV1000S.

good thing someone beat me to it and i got the red/black '06 gixxer1000 instead.

That shallowness is a very bad thing in my opinion, you're limiting yourself from a whole world of experiences that may actually be superior to what you're doing.

Personally I'm hoping to get a dirtbike sometime soon, I'd love to try that. And I wouldn't turn down a sport tourer, though I'm trying to set my bike up as one of those. I've done the cruiser thing, and thought that was for me, but after I tried a standard I was hooked. Don't limit yourself like that.

For starters one would replace the ugliest stock can in the history of motorcycling.

Secondly, it is a monster in the twisties.
