What about the F4 1000 vs the ZX-10? The ZX-10 had the slightest edge over the F4, but most people wouldn't notice.Mintbread wrote:Nope.
A head to head comparison of the MV and a GSX-R 750 indicated that the GSX-R romped the MV in everything but "style"
Go figure.
ducati and aprilia.

LOL agreed. The MV's styling is just dayumn. When i'm rich and famous i'll get both the MV and the GSX-R. GSX-R can be my track "dog". I kinda wish MV had a touring-esque bike, akin to the duc ST3.Mintbread wrote:But...
Not that I wouldn't trade my first born to own an MV...GeoffXR200R wrote:

I personally love the sound of an I4, Have you ever heard an fz1 with a d&d pipe doing a dyno run? Man it makes ya giddy as hell.fireguzzi wrote:i reckon ya cant beat the sound of gnarly twin

But dont get me wrong i think the v twins got a helluva sound too, but the I4 just stirs something in me. Smooth running technologicly advanced machinery running in perfect harmony with the soul.
Im such a romantic.

agreed
look anything reving hard is a turn on for me, even wen my twin 74 raptors start wurring n whizzin i get hard

The Aprilla Tuono is the bike I love the twin on an appy is as bullet proof as all heck with dumptruck loads of tourque, I do not think the duck is as bullet proof and the mv is just about as expensive as a mercedes benz. I have ridden inline 4's v4's triples inline twins and singles the tourque from a v-twin is untouchable and honestley I rarely ride at over a hundred for long so I need the power 10 times more than the speed. I actually have decided instead of the speed triple I will be buying a buell xb12s I just like it better as it is a little lower seat height as well.
there aint nothin like it

BMX boxer twins are the shiznat. Dont know if they are better performers but I love the look of the two pistons sticking out the sides. Do they make a low cruiser? Debating over a BMW or a Cruiser.....
then again someday I plan to have all my vehicles match brand, and I like BMW's 330XI better than hondas CRV, and I'll need the 4wheels drive here in VT. what do boxer twins sound like?

My girlfriend's older brother and his best friend have always love twisty riding. Her bro has a 2000 YZF-R1 and his friend had an SV650. The SV guy kept getting absolutely smoked so he decided to buy himself a new Mille R Factory...
Slight role reversal! It's a MONSTER! (of course, he has a ton of money to throw around unlike the rest of us
) Of course, something happened to it and it's not starting up properly, and how many mechanics are around who can work on an Aprilia...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dogging Suzuki. Heck, if I had the skill and money to buy any bike I wanted right now it'd be a new GSX-R600, and for reasons that I can't explain. I just..."like them." But at least I know my rationale is odd

Kinda faulty logic, I mean, the CBR's are based off of the RC211V which has won...how many Moto GP's? The ZX-6R claimed 1st and 2nd in last year's 600cc AMA league...the YZF-M1 is a monster in GP. Everyone's got a reputation of being a great racer. Then again, when are you going to be racing at 160 mph around twisties with yoursVermilionX wrote:well they do have a good track record if im not mistaken.
but yeah, it's mostly just a personal preference.
