That teknic jacket is actually starting to look really good to me. Seems like it'd cover for all of the riding conditions I encounter... going to have to try one on.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Okay...I finally did it...I went to the local Bike shop and placed my order. I am getting a HJC CL-Max helmet (black and silver and white) a Reactor 2.0 Joe Rocket Jacket (black/gunmetal) and a pair of Reactor gloves too.

The guy who owns the shop is an old family friend and knows me pretty well.He told me for the money, those would be my best choices. Since it is only my second season riding (under 1,000miles), he convinced me not to invest really heavy until I am sure how and when and the type riding I will be doing the majority of the time. Since I am still really new to the game, he said this will do me fine for now...and he gave me that good friend discount

I have a Teknic jacket and I love it.

I have the lightning jacket which is an armored leather model. Its close fitting but not overly restrictive. The armor definately stays in place. Its definately overbuilt too. Double stiched on most seams, thick leather and Schoeller Keprotec backing on all the zippers
