i practiced quick left and right swerving and figure 8s.

there's some newbie cagers practicing there too so im a little bit more careful.

bolted out of there when i saw some rain clouds. i just cleaned my bike after riding in the rain yesterday (and yes, i tested my brakes before i left). i don't wanna get it wet again.

anyway... still haven't gotten a knee down.

oh well, i'll get there soon enough. :D

on the way back, there's this car that tried to race me, the freeway was not crowded too much but i still didn't give in. kept telling to myself, "not a good idea, not a good idea."

saw a cop later but it's on the other side of the freeway but still, public racing isn't something i'd wanna do.

also, i need to get used to my suit, specifically the knee section, other parts are ok didn't feel a major diff from my regular riding gear.

but the knees are to bulky to me since im just wearing draggin jeans normally. now i have all these knee armor and sliders.

He's suggesting that you put a thread in the blog forums so that you don't have to keep making all these new posts.

I think it's a really good idea actually, then you can go back later and watch the progression of your riding and the things you talked about rather then trying to hunt down old posts.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

X,

Good on ya for getting out and practicing! That's a great way to become a better rider. Did you use any of the drills that you learned last weekend?

I wouldn't sweat getting a knee down just yet. The talk among the veteran riders is that it's causing most of the current crop of newbie canyon crashes.

BTW - Thank you for being early and helping me police up the trash before the last skillz day. You did a great job and I appreciate it very much.

You really should start a blog. It will help you understand what's going on in your head, and will be very valuable once you reach the "mentoring" stage of your moto-career. You have a greater following than you know.

Are you coming down to the skillz day this sunday?

Ride safe,

Hawkster
It's a lot more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

thanks hawk, what i practiced earlier today was the turning drills we did last sunday. which involves stuff like looking through the turn and throttle control.

i couldn't practice delayed apex since im having a hard time w/o any markers for where to turn. i was just kinda turning when i felt like it and didn't set a specific area on where to turn. it was more freestyle turning drills.

im not sure if i can make it tomorrow since im still waiting on another plan. i'll just see what'll happen.
